A Vintage Experience at the Metro: Garosu-gil, Sinsa-dong

A Vintage Experience at the Metro

Garosu-gil is a street full of trees in the middle of the metropolitan – Gangnam-gu. Specifically, Garosu-gil have Ginko Trees in both sides of the street. It is located in the middle of the residential and office buildings wherein it is very convenient for the residents to drop by and relax after a stressful day. In addition, the place gives you an extraordinary feel of living in some other countries as the ambience of the clothing, accessories boutique shops and dessert, coffee shops are stylish, well designed and sophisticated.

I have some visitors who visited Korea and I brought them to Sinsa-dong, where Garosu-gil is located. We had a relaxing walk in Garosu-gil right after their tiring flight coming to Seoul. We had some cakes in a coffee shop called Café Si. The ambience was so unique and cool that we did not want to stop taking photos and almost forgot ordering. Most of the coffee shops we passed by offers 20% discount to the customers if ordered take out or what is called 포장 in Korean. However, for a tired tourist, it would be a nice chilling experience to dine in instead.

Furthermore, the place is a perfect place for photo shoots for models. The sophisticated, unique, trendy atmosphere in Garosu-gil provides a vintage feel for all the foreign tourists and even the residents.

Looking out from the window seats are calming and exciting at the same time, seeing the various people going around the place with their trends, activities and fashion. Garosu-gil is a place where imaginations come easily through the experience we can encounter.
