National Public Library & Banpo Moonlight Fountain Show | 반포한강공원

National Public Library & Banpo Moonlight Fountain Show
16 October 2010

Finally had an actual visit to the Banpo 반포 Hangang 한강 Park 공원 where they show a Moonlight Fountain Show in one of the bridges in Hangang. It has been a tiring day today. My friend, Carol and I, first did some volunteer work in St. Mary's Hospital - The Catholic University of Korea. After which, we walked around the area of Seocho 서초구 in which we found the National Public Library of Korea which also includes the National Digital Library.

We ate lunch in the Cafeteria of the National Public Library, toured around the library and searched for some books for possible future researches, studied in one of their halls, etc.

National Digital Library - wherein they have everything in computer and technology. Computers are free for use as well as Satellite TVs with headsets.

Information Center and Study Area in the National Public Library

Creative benches in the hallways of National Digital Library which became my new study place for the day.

This is the first thing I have seen without yet the fountain show.

The fountain show is being shown every hour for 20-30minutes.

October is the last month for the Moonlight Fountain Show as the Winter is coming. We waited for this time even the weather today was really really cold plus the fact that this is in a body of water - Han River.

There were a lot of tripods and DSLRs out during the 8pm show. But it was not too crowded for the photographers to be blocked by one another.

Amazingly, even old couples are into DSLR photography now... =)

The show is being played with music. Every song has its corresponding show...

It is so amazing to see how the Seoul government has put this together. Of course, using the water from the river itself... But it has brought a lot of attention from many people in Korea.
